Carnilove ACTIVE Lamb & Wild Boar Grain-Free Dry Dog Food – 1.5kg

This is the one recipe in the Carnilove ACTIVE dog range with no poultry in it at all. The meat is lamb — 26% fresh and a further 26% lamb protein — with 4% wild boar protein and beef fat, and nothing from chicken, turkey or duck anywhere in the list.

That makes it the sensible starting point for a dog that has reacted to poultry, which is much the commonest culprit. At 35.0% crude protein and 18.0% fat it is also the richest of the three adult all-breed recipes, so it suits a dog in regular work rather than a sedentary one.

Performance & Benefits
  • 52% lamb in total: 26% fresh lamb plus 26% lamb protein.
  • No chicken, turkey or duck anywhere in the composition.
  • Wild boar protein at 4%, a meat almost no dog has eaten before.
  • 35.0% crude protein and 18.0% fat, with 75.0% of the protein from animal sources.
  • Glucosamine and chondroitin included for joints, plus 1% salmon oil for coat.
  • Grain-free and potato-free; yellow peas and chickpeas carry the carbohydrate.
<>
Suitable For
  • Adult dogs of all breeds in regular work or exercise.
  • Dogs that react to chicken, turkey or duck.
  • Owners running an exclusion diet who need a poultry-free complete food.
  • Beef fat is present at 10%, so this is not a beef-free recipe. If beef is the problem, Carnilove ACTIVE Salmon & Turkey is the fish-led alternative — though it does contain turkey.

Feeding
  • Carnilove's daily amounts: 5kg 95g, 10kg 160g, 15kg 220g, 20kg 275g, 25kg 320g, 30kg 370g.
  • Larger dogs: 40kg 460g, 50kg 540g, 60kg 620g, 70kg 700g, 80kg 775g, 90kg 850g.
  • Divide the day's ration between two or three meals.
  • Introduce over about a week, increasing the proportion of the new food each day.
  • Weigh the food rather than using a scoop — kibble density varies between brands.
  • Keep fresh water available at all times.
